Good Old Water- A Great Natural Acne Remedy
By JPresley
Water As A Natural Acne Remedy

There are several products engineered to heal acne. Some are over the counter cleaners, creams, and medicated pads, while others are prescribed medicines given to you by a dermatological doctor. "So how about natural remedies for my acne?" The sky rocketing recognition of natural remedies has become prevalent in treating many common conditions, and acne isn't an exception. This web page will discuss one of the most common of all natural remedies and why it is preferred. It may even surprise you. One of the finest natural remedies for treating acne is water. Water is used to hydrate the body, which, naturally, hydrates the skin too. The skin is the biggest organ in the body, and must be correctly hydrated to work properly and serve its purpose.

This is accomplished in two ways.

A. By cleaning the face, which hydrates the outside of the skin.

B. By drinking water, which hydrates the entire body, from your inside to your out. This, naturally, includes your skin. Drinking lots of water will keep the skin feeling and looking healthy. Healthy skin cells promote a much healthier body. Doctors have always told us that we should drink 6 to 8 eight-ounce glasses of water a day. While this sounds like a lot of water, think about what it can do for your body. In addition to improving skin tone and texture, it can stimulate cell growth and will help all your organs work in the correct way. It also helps filter unwanted substances that may be damaging to your skin.

Water also plays a crucial part deep in your skin. It supplies the foundation for a soft, smooth, and healthy complexion and will help you look younger. And isn't that what we really want? Though only a little water is stored in the outer layers of your skin, this moisture is crucial and is consistently removed by outside elements such as the sun and wind. Sun and wind can dry your skin, removing its moisture and irritating its surface. When this happens, pre-existing acne can become even more irritated, which in turn can prolong the acne problem. While irritation alone will not directly cause more acne to form, it can make the problem worse. It's vital to keep correct moisture in the skin.

I would say that one of the most common skin myths I hear, is that shiny skin does not need moisture. This isn't true. Because skin is oily, does not mean it is moisturized. By cleaning the skin, you are wiping away excess oil, and by moisturizing it, you are helping it remain smooth and decreasing your probabilities for irritation. Correctly moisturizing the skin not only promotes and stimulate cell growth, but also helps the other organs of the body work together. If correctly hydrated, the skin will not wrinkle or sag as easily, and you will maintain a more youthful appearance for a much longer period of time.

Though water isn't the only natural treatment for the skin, it's the most vital. Without it, your skin couldn't do its job in keeping the rest of your body in check.
